BOOKBINDER GLUE

Jelly glue is widely used in the bookbinder’s industry (spine gluing and backlining – gluing of hard book covers – side gluing – …). A good adhesion power when making the book cover and an adjustable open time are important features to bear in mind. Speeds of 15 to 120 bands per minute are being reached – dependent on the machine types. A reduction of dropping-out is an important element as well. The machine can be stopped or the speed can be reduced for mechanical adjustments with a minimum loss. Cleaning the machines can easily be done with warm water and it’s possible during the formation of the adhesive, to adjust the flexibility to minimize warping.
